Impregnating a concrete floor is a sustainable choice to reduce the chance of moisture, dirt and daily wear. The treatment penetrates the concrete without removing the natural character of the floor. This way, the floor stays beautiful, easy to maintain and better protected for the future.
Customer story: concrete floor in Glabbeek
In a beautiful home surrounded by greenery in Glabbeek, we had the opportunity to work twice before. That trust means a lot to us. This time we returned for a special continuation: impregnating the concrete floor of the father, a vigorous 85-year-old.
The floor forms a beautiful base in the home, with its authentic brick walls and calm, timeless appearance. By professionally protecting the floor now, it remains better resistant to daily life and easier to maintain.
Fibreglass reinforcement as a strong base
During the installation of this floor, we made use of Anti-Crak® HP67/36 glass fibres. This alkali-resistant AR glass fibre reinforcement is incorporated into the concrete and helps to better distribute the stresses in the floor. In this way, it forms a strong, well-considered base beneath the further finishing and protection.

Why impregnate a concrete floor?
Concrete is strong, but naturally also porous. Without protection, moisture, dirt and liquids can penetrate the surface. A deeply penetrating impregnation protects the concrete from within while preserving the appearance of the floor.
- water- and dirt-repellent surface
- less chance of stubborn stains
- easier daily maintenance
- a protection that suits the natural appearance of concrete
Right side is impregnated, left side absorbs water
Sustainable protection, with respect for the floor
For this project, we chose an impregnation that penetrates deeply into the concrete floor. The floor retains its own appearance but is better prepared for use, maintenance, and the years to come. Exactly what this beautiful home in Glabbeek deserves.

Frequently asked questions about impregnating a concrete floor
Does impregnating change the appearance of a concrete floor?
A deeply penetrating impregnation protects the floor without applying a thick layer on top. The natural appearance of the concrete is therefore preserved.
Why were Anti-Crak® glass fibres used?
The glass fibres were incorporated into the concrete during the floor installation as reinforcement. They contribute to a strong, well-considered base for the concrete floor.
Is an impregnated concrete floor easier to maintain?
Yes. Because moisture and dirt penetrate the pores less easily, the floor remains easier to clean and better protected during daily use.
