Removing stains from a concrete floor
Concrete is porous. Without proper protection, spilled liquids can penetrate the floor. Especially stains that have been there for a long time often cannot be removed by simple mopping.
We first look at the stain and the finish of your floor. Dirt on the surface requires a different approach than a stain that has penetrated deeply into the concrete. Not everything can be restored: a damaged top layer or a scratch will not disappear through cleaning.

A new concrete floor? Think immediately about protection
Preventing stains is better than trying to remove them afterwards. If you are having a concrete floor installed, include impregnation in your plans right away. We coordinate when the floor is ready for this treatment so that it is protected before you start using it.
Impregnation reduces the penetration of water and dirt. It does not make the floor immune to all stains: spilled liquids should still be absorbed as quickly as possible.
Even with an existing floor, we assess whether cleaning and then protecting it makes sense. You can find more explanation at impregnating concrete floors en waxing a concrete floor.
How to clean a concrete floor yourself?
First remove sand and dust with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner with a parquet brush. Then mop with a clean mop and a pH-neutral cleaner suitable for treating your floor. Follow the dosage instructions on the packaging.
Do not use vinegar, descaler or cement residue remover: acids can damage the concrete. Also avoid scouring pads and aggressive cleaning agents. Use a pressure washer or steam cleaner only if explicitly allowed in your floor's maintenance advice.
Is a stain persistent? Then do not try one product after another. Take photos and let us know what you have already used.
Send us photos or a video
Send an overview of the floor and some close-up images of the stains. Include information about how the stains occurred, how long they have been there, and what you have already used to clean them. Do you know if the floor has been impregnated, waxed, or coated? Please mention that as well.
Provide the surface area and location. This allows us to assess your request and see what treatment is possible. For a price proposal, we also take into account accessibility and the space to work.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you guarantee that all stains will come out?
No, we cannot. Some stains have penetrated too deeply into the concrete or have damaged the surface. That is why we recommend having a new floor impregnated before you start using it. This protection reduces the chance of liquids soaking into the concrete. Do you already have stains? Send us photos or videos, and we will see what we can do for you.
How much does it cost to have my concrete floor cleaned?
There is no fixed price per square metre for every floor. The surface area, the contamination and the accessibility determine how much work is needed. Send us images, the surface area and the location. We will review your request and provide a price proposal once the necessary work is clear.
