Polished concrete floors.

With a polished concrete floor, the concrete surface is machine-finished during execution. The result depends on the preparation, composition and site conditions. Discuss substrate, construction, joints, accessibility and desired finish in advance.

A concrete floor can show colour nuances and signs of use. A test area helps align expectations about shade and gloss.

Protecting and impregnating concrete floors

A protective treatment helps reduce the chance of moisture and dirt. The appropriate treatment depends on the porosity, existing finish and load. Different requirements may apply for a home than for a car workshop.

We discuss the substrate and desired appearance. When choosing a product, a test panel and the technical specifications are decisive; water repellency does not automatically mean protection against oil or all chemicals.

Curing of fresh concrete

Fresh concrete requires appropriate curing to limit rapid drying. This differs from later protection against stains and dirt. Always check whether the curing product suits the planned further finishing.

Discuss your concrete floor

Send your site address, surface area, indoor or outdoor application, desired colour and timing. For an existing floor, photos and information about previous treatments help with the assessment.

Our approach

A good concrete floor starts with clear agreements.

We look at what you use the floor for, the finish you want and how accessible the site is. Based on that, we discuss the preparation and execution.

1. Understanding your projectPlans, floor height, accessibility and the use of the spaces form the basis. For homes, a site visit helps to assess the situation.
2. Coordinating the executionWe discuss preparation, protection of adjacent building parts, concrete delivery and the scheduling of finishing.
3. Ensuring the resultDiscuss curing, first use and maintenance before execution. They are part of the choice for the floor.

A floor in a home requires a different conversation than a parking lot or shop. View projects similar to your application and pay attention to the space, finish and construction phase in which the photos were taken.

Also discuss the limits of concrete

Concrete can show colour nuances and cracks. Joints and protection should therefore be part of the discussion about your floor, along with colour, price and maintenance.
