Anyone entering CLINIC in Hasselt sees clothing racks under the characterful concrete arches of the former RTT building. Under your feet lies the polished concrete floor of Glansbeton. Our assignment also extended underground: we also executed all the underlying parking floors.

A new purpose for the old RTT building
De Bonnefant gave new life to the former RTT complex in the centre of Hasselt. The project combines residential and retail spaces with a green passage. CLINIC found a special shop space there on Paardsdemerstraat.
Inside, the existing structure and concrete arches remain prominently visible. The grey floor forms a calm whole beneath them. It runs between the racks and display tables and lets the space speak.

From shop floor to parking floor
For this project, Glansbeton took care of both the visible shop floor and all the parking floors beneath the complex. Two very different usage environments within the same assignment.
In a shop, the floor is part of the interior design: you see it up close, among the collections and under changing light. In a parking garage, daily traffic is central. That is why, for each project, we discuss the usage, connections and desired finish before execution begins.
