For a shop on Frans Beyrenslaan in Borsbeek, Glansbeton installed a concrete floor with Mastertop 100 naturel. This reference shows an application of a dry-shake wear layer in a shop environment.

A shop floor on Frans Beyrenslaan
In the original project report, the location is indicated as the Marca shop next to Brantano, on Frans Beyrenslaan 29 in Borsbeek. That description relates to the site at the time. It does not necessarily describe the current use of the shop premises.
The chosen finish was Mastertop 100 in the colour naturel. The site photo shows the material supply: the packaged product is brought to the site for use during the concrete works. This reference thus also preserves a piece of the practical execution behind a shop floor.
What was used for this concrete floor?
Mastertop 100 is described in the original project documentation as a ready-to-use dry-shake material based on hydraulic binders and selected natural aggregates, including quartz. The material is applied dry into the top layer of the fresh concrete.
The project name refers to the product that was used at the time. For a new floor, we coordinate the material choice with the current technical data sheet and the building’s use. This reference is therefore not a promise that the same product will automatically be chosen for every new shop project.
What to consider when installing a new shop floor?
A shop floor must suit the daily use of the building. The sales area, any storage space and delivery zones may have different requirements. The layout and load help determine which floor construction and finishing are needed.
In addition, scheduling is important. The flooring works must align with the other activities so that the surface can be suitably protected during further fitting out. Therefore, make agreements in advance about access, site traffic and commissioning with the involved contractors.
An existing reference helps to ask targeted questions but does not replace an assessment of a new site. See our explanation about polished concrete floors for the difference between application, construction, and finishing.
