Terracotta-coloured concrete floor in a farmhouse in Kermt

Warmly coloured concrete between brick and wood.

Brick, wood and a warm terracotta shade. In this farmhouse in Kermt, Glansbeton installed a coloured concrete floor that fits beautifully with the existing materials. A project that shows how different residential concrete can look compared to the familiar grey.

The atmosphere of the farmhouse

A warm floor among old materials

The brick walls and the exposed wood give these spaces their character. The reddish-brown concrete floor complements those warm tones. At the same time, it remains a calm surface: the pattern of the walls and the wooden details get all the space.

In the photos, you see the floor by the wooden doors, around the stairs, and in the passage to the next room. The same colour connects these places without the farmhouse losing its own character.

Colour makes the difference

Residential concrete does not have to be grey

When people think of a polished concrete floor, they often imagine a grey and sleek interior. This project in Kermt shows a different side. A terracotta-coloured floor can actually go well with brick, wood, and a rural interior.

The colour nuances belong to the exposed concrete. Light incidence and the surrounding materials influence how you perceive the shade. That is why we like to use project photos to discuss an atmosphere. For your own floor, we adjust the colour and finish separately; a photo is not a colour sample.

A renovation starts with the right connections

In an existing building, a new floor is about more than just the colour. The available build-up height, the doors and the connection to stairs and adjacent spaces must be clear beforehand. We discuss these points together with the desired appearance.

Do you have a farmhouse, house or other building that you want to renew? Send us a plan and some photos. That way we can specifically look at which polished concrete floor that suits the space.
