Concrete densifier for residential concrete floors

For an attractive floor surface that lasts as long as your building, suitable hardeners and densifiers are recommended. By hardening and densifying the floor, a durable surface is created with a brilliant appearance. The use of a densifier is a one-time application due to the irreversible chemical reaction. Concrete densifier is an impregnating agent that hardens, protects and makes concrete floors dust-free. Concrete densifier slightly modifies the surface and provides a protective layer that has a slight gloss. Concrete densifier is a must for concrete floors where a higher degree of finish is desired. Concrete densifier is suitable for polished/power-trowelled concrete floorand this for existing concrete floors or new concrete floors.

Concrete densifier is a penetrating silicate treatment that reacts with free lime and unhydrated cement, thereby forming a network of small crystals in the small pores. Due to the chemical process, the top layer becomes harder, denser, dust-free and easier to maintain. These changes occur over a period of 3 to 6 months after applying the concrete densifier. The lithium concentrated silicate reacts with the cement components and forms an insoluble calcium silicate hydrate (CSH) that increases surface hardness, reduces dust and facilitates maintenance. Concrete densifier provides a protective layer that has a slight gloss.

Concrete densifier is applied immediately after power-trowelling the concrete; in this way, the concrete densifier has a curing effect. However, during polishing, a second application of concrete densifier is applied. Concrete densifier is suitable for polished/power-trowelled concrete floors, both for existing and new concrete floors.

Concrete densifier can of course also be applied to existing concrete floors. When applying concrete densifier to existing concrete floors, the concrete floor must first be cleaned and/or the curing compound must be removed from the concrete floor.

As a company that installs polished concrete floors, we often receive requests from customers to carry out a post-treatment. We therefore understand better than anyone the concerns of our customers. In this regard, after many tests, we have had our own concrete densifier designed. We know better than anyone which type of ENCI cement and which formula are necessary to achieve an ideal chemical bonding.

At Glansbeton we do not sell concrete densifier. Our formula for our concrete densifier is compatible with the methodology and materials we use. In this respect, we do not sell concrete densifier because we cannot guarantee the correct application.
