A continuous appearance around the house

The photos show how the concrete floor under the carport connects to the open outdoor space. The dark colour forms a clear contrast with the masonry, the green structure and the garden. Using the same finish in the different zones creates a cohesive whole.

That cohesion concerns the appearance. A terrace where people sit and walk, a covered parking space and a driveway each have their own use. The original report describes the pouring and power-trowelling of the dark exterior floor. In the photos, the terrace with the carport was already finished, while the last strip of the driveway was still being power-trowelled. So the execution consisted of more than one visible work phase.
